Have A Unique Meal While You Sip Beer By A Treehouse At Rhode Island’s Tree House Tavern
If you had a treehouse as a child, you know there’s simply something special about them. And now that you’re an adult, you know there’s also something special about enjoying a meal and a cold one in a unique place. The next time you find yourself near Warwick, check out the Tree House Tavern. Not only is the food incredibly good, but the atmosphere is unforgettable.
The Tree House Tavern is a charming eatery that sits inside a converted farmhouse from the 1820s.
And while this does mean you won't be dining IN a treehouse, there is a small treehouse out front that lets you know you're in the right place.
This place has been family owned and operated for over 40 years, and it's still going strong.
Aline and her son, Michael, started as florists in 1978 and soon expanded to chocolates, cakes, afternoon tea and luncheons. The expansion continued, and now the place is a full-fledged tavern.
Step inside and you'll realize quickly that this is no ordinary place.
With the warm wood accents, perfect lighting, and kitschy decor, you might feel like you actually are in a treehouse.
An experience at the Tree House Tavern can be whatever you want it to be, from a laid back lunch to a fancy dinner.
Take a walk around the property before you sit down to eat. And when you do sit down, if you're so inclined, order a hand-crafted micro brew -- they serve a lot of those here.
But of course, as fun as unique decor is, people come to restaurants to eat -- and the menu here never disappoints.
The lunch and dinner menu rotates regularly since ingredients are sourced locally. But it always includes classic burgers, salads, and hearty entrees, plus unique appetizers like BLT deviled eggs (six half eggs, topped with crumble bacon, crispy spinach and spicy sun-dried tomato filling).
When you eat here, always make sure to save room for dessert.
The dessert tray always features 10-16 different homemade treats.
These beautiful grounds are perfect for hosting events, and the family stays busy with weddings and anniversary parties all summer.
The buffet and catering menus are exceptional.
The Tree House Tavern is open every day but Monday, although hours vary.
On Tuesday - Friday they're open for lunch and dinner only. And on Saturday and Sunday, you can also enjoy brunch from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Please note that the family goes on a well-deserved vacation every January (get this year’s dates on
the website). Other than that, you’ll have the rest of the year to visit as much as possible.
