Once the site of a Revolutionary War fort, the space is now a public park at Lawton and Highland Avenues.

This is a great nature walk for beginners and advanced hikers alike.

As the name might suggest, this little brook has an interesting history.

Howland had moved to Dartmouth from Plymouth, where his religious beliefs led to conflict and persecution from the Puritans. He was heading home to Dartmouth one evening when he was ambushed here by six natives, murdered, and terribly mutilated.

The unnamed brook where his body was discovered became known as Sinning Flesh Brook, or Sin and Flesh Brook today.

At its highest point, you can take in some incredible views, and the entire trail is nice and peaceful.

It's definitely worth seeing.
Have you ever hiked this short and sweet trail?
