This Rhode Island Cider Company Is The Perfect Fall Day Trip Destination
If you could drink the essence of fall, it would taste like apple cider. And not the kind you buy at the supermarket – no, it would taste like the delicious nectar that is fresh-pressed from perfectly ripe apples. If you want a taste of that this fall, you need to check out this fantastic Rhode Island cider company!
The Hard-Pressed Cider Company was founded in 2011, initially operating out of a specially designed cider trailer that moved from farm to farm. The company is now based at Windmist Farm in Jamestown from Labor day through Thanksgiving.
You'll see them pressing cider right there, using all local apples. The taste changes throughout the season due to different types of apples being used, and it's always amazing. There's no added sugar either, so you can feel good about this treat!
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, the company moves to The Farmer's Daughter Christmas Tree Stand stand in South Kingstown, so you can warm up with some hot cider after you cut your tree. What could be more cozy than that?
