Located on the 28-acre Claire D. McIntosh Wildlife Refuge in Bristol, the Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium is the largest in the state. This spot has both indoor and outdoor attractions that are engaging for all ages.

The wildlife refuge and nature center is completely handicap accessible making it easy for all people of all abilities to visit. It is also located right along the East Bay Bike Path offering bikers and walkers of the trail a delightful destination.

Enter the nature center and jump right into the exhibits. Interactive displays make it oodles of fun to learn about local wildlife and their habitats.

Continue onward to a 1/4-mile boardwalk that passes through the stunning marshes out to the Narragansett Bay.

The Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium at the Claire D. McIntosh Wildlife Refuge can be found at 1401 Hope St., Bristol, RI 02809. The winter hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The nature center is also open for school vacations and some holidays.
