Recently, Conde Nast Traveler created a list of the most beautiful spot in each state. And while that couldn’t have been an easy task in Rhode Island (nearly every square mile of our state is stunning), they decided on the Newport Cliff Walk for the Ocean State. And if you’ve ever been, you’ll probably agree with that. We certainly do.

Over the years, this attraction has become world famous, and it's certainly a favorite spot for locals.
This public access walk is about 3.5 miles in total, but because of its breathtaking beauty and easy access, walking the entire thing is a breeze.

While the Newport Cliff Walk is a pretty safe passageway, you'll want to note that there are a few rough spots.

Wild bushes and weeds can mask a few of the 70-foot drops, and part of the southern half of the walk is a rough trail over some rocky shoreline.
