Wade In The Refreshing Waters On The Scenic Beach At Misquamicut State Beach In Rhode Island
While you may have had to cancel or postpone some travel this year, we can all agree that being “stuck” in Rhode Island for awhile is far from the worst thing ever, especially in the summertime. And since there’s not much to do this summer besides relaxing by the beach, we highly suggest you do just that (while maintaining a safe distance from others, of course). If you have yet to check out the swimming at Misquamicut State Beach, there’s no time like the present.

That being said, it is seven miles long in its entirety (with the state beach right in the middle), so it's entirely possible to practice safe social distancing here. Also, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management has politely asked out-of-staters to leave this beach for the locals this year.

The soothing rolling waves and soft white sand are irresistible.

Take the entire family for a day in the surf and sun.

There will be lifeguards on duty, but make sure everyone in your party sticks together.

It's well worth the fee of $6 ($7 on the weekends) to enjoy it to the fullest.

And since the beach is operating with a reduced capacity for the time being, you may even get to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Make some new memories at Misquamicut State Beach with your family this summer! There's no time like the present to explore this Ocean State treasure.
