The Underrated Sandy Beach In Rhode Island You Absolutely Need To Visit
Rhode Island is a small state and you’ve lived here for a while, so what beach could possibly have something new to discover? The Ocean State has more than 100 public and private beaches and we have a feeling you haven’t visited all of them… yet. Today’s pick for a featured sandy spot is Mackerel Cove Town Beach, not the most popular shoreline destination, but well worth a visit.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

Visit Mackerel Cove Town Beach on Beavertail Rd., Jamestown, RI 02835. There is a roadside parking lot right next to the beach.
Which beach in the Ocean State is your favorite to visit? Is it Rhode Island’s longest beach? Or is it this tidal pool beach? Or do you have a different sandy spot that you love? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
