Rhode Island feels like a small town all on its own. It is the smallest state at just a bit over 1,500 square miles, after all! There are a few small villages and towns that are a little more close-knit than others, however. Here are 13 towns in Rhode Island where everyone knows your name.

This small town is found on Block Island. Tourists might flock to this place in the summertime, but the residents who reside here year-round all know one another very well. The island offers beautiful natural attractions, great restaurants, and other fun activities.

In Clayville, the total population is just around 300 people, but that doesn't seem to bother the residents. This census designated place is found near Foster and is one of the most lovely places to live in the state.

Exeter is one of the smallest towns by population in the state. It also offers beautiful hiking trails, historic attractions, and more!
