These 7 Rhode Island Craft Fairs Are the Best Place to Do Your Holiday Shopping
Log off your computer and don’t even dream of lining up for sales at some outrageously early hour. This year, let’s support local vendors and artisans instead of big box stores! These seven Rhode Island craft fairs are ideal places to get your holiday shopping done, while getting out and enjoying your community.
1. St. Augustine's Church Christmas Fair - Kingston, December 2
St. Augustine's fair will be held 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and will feature Mr. and Mrs. Claus and wreaths, crafts, jams, jellies, and more for sale. Find it at 15 Lower College Rd., Kingston, RI 02881.
2. Holiday Spectacular Artisan Craft Fair - Newport, December 2
You'll find all sorts of artisans selling their wares at the Newport Elks Lodge from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You'll find it at 141 Pelham St., Newport, Rhode Island 02840.
3. Blackstone River Theatre Craft Fair and Festival - Cumberland, December 2
Visit the Blackstone River Theatre between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to find 26 vendors, and continuous live music, plus raffles, a bake sale, and more. You'll find the theater at 549 Broad St., Cumberland, RI, 02864.
4. OCRS Snowflake Bazaar - Smithfield, December 2
This massive craft fair runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will feature more than 70 vendors, along with baked goods, face painting, and more. You'll find it at the Old County Elementary School, 200 Old County Rd., Smithfield, RI 02917.
5. Providence Holiday Market - Providence, December 3–17
Head to Hope High School on December Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to find more than 50 artisans and vintage vendors, plus food trucks, kettle corn, and more. Find it at 324 Hope St., Providence, RI 02906.
6. Field of Artisans Holiday Pop-Up Series - South Kingstown, December 3-17
On Sundays from December 3 through 17, visit Whaler's Brewing Company from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., where you'll find a variety of local artists set up in the tasting room. 7. Chepachet Christmas Village - Chepachet, December 7–10
