In North Kingston, spend an afternoon at the John H. Chafee Nature Preserve. A two-mile loop trail will take you out to Rome Point where from October to April you can chance upon seals hanging out on the rocks. The rest of the year, the trail is an enjoyable hike with lots of scenery.
