While we might face a bit of a challenge carving out time to relax, we certainly have no shortage of places to escape for a few quiet moments. From leisurely hikes to scenic drives, Rhode Island promises plenty of relaxation. A few hours spent sipping wine and engaging in good conversation, for example, just might be the perfect way to unwind and relax. If you can bring your beloved pup along to this vineyard in Rhode Island? Well, that might be even better.
For nearly five decades, the family-owned Diamond Hill Vineyards has been delighting wine connoisseurs with its small-batch wines. It’s a smaller vineyard that promises a laidback experience.
The warmer months mean sipping wine as you relax outdoors in the garden that’s brimming with flowers and shaded by towering trees. You can even bring your pup along, as long as he remains leashed and is well-behaved.
While you can buy cheese and crackers to pair with your wine, you might want to bring along a picnic and snag a seat in the garden area or the charming front porch.
During the colder months, the vineyard welcomes guests to relax in its sun-soaked dining area or heated front porch. Reservations are encouraged although not required.
Dogs are only permitted outdoors, so if you’re visiting during the winter, you’ll have to leave your pooch at home.
Diamond Hill Vineyards specializes in producing pinot noir and fruit and berry wines. If you stop by during the colder months, sip such favorites as mulled red wine and heated spiced apple wine.
