Obviously, this lighthouse is closed to the public, but you'll have an exclusive view of it when you're at the park.
The first lighthouse at Conimicut Point was built in the 1860s, when a lantern room and a fourth-order Fresnel lens were put on a granite tower that had been built on the shoal.

Conimicut was one of the last lighthouses in the United States to convert its lantern from incandescent oil vapor to electricity, which was done in 1960.
If you come during low tide, you can check out all sorts of treasures and stand on the sandy spit when the water recedes.
