Hope Valley is a little village in the town of Hopkinton in Washington County. The central portion of the village was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and its history dates back to 1770. There’s also an abandoned amusement park there that nature has reclaimed, and it’s fascinating to see what remains.
You can find it with these coordinates: 41.499054,-71.725169. The actual address is 909 Main Street, which is also called Nooseneck Hill Road.
But for over 30 years, this was a coveted place for kids to come.

It was built by Marcus Jones and Philip Herlle, who wanted something more than just your average tourist destination. That led them to build amongst a pond and trees.
That price sounds like a dream now, doesn't it?
Other attractions included a go-kart track, bumper cars, The Scrambler, swirling teacups, a Ferris Wheel, and plenty of others.
The 31-acre property is not open to the public, but as far as we know, it's still for sale.
