The Enchanted Forest
This quirky little theme park opened up in 1971 when the Tofte family decided they needed to brink some whimsical fun to the area. The Enchanted Forest features beautifully hand-built attractions, including an old school Western cowboy town, an English village, and the fairytale-inspired Storybook Lane, as well as an amusement park filled with bumper cars, a train ride through the park, a mini Ferris Wheel, and even a rollercoaster and log ride! This hidden gem is a perfect place to bring the kids…or to come feel like a kid again! During the summer, The Enchanted Forest puts on comedy musical theater performances filled with re-imaginations of classic Fairy Tales. There are snack carts, a coffee shop, an ice cream parlor, and several small restaurants throughout the park (which even include vegan options!). The park closes during the winter months, but be sure to stop by in the warmer seasons—as soon as you arrive at The Enchanted Forest, you will be transported away from the “real world” for a day of lighthearted fantasy fun!
