The Camellia Grill
Camellia Grill opened in 1946 and is a landmark restaurant in New Orleans serving quality, southern diner food – a must-try for anyone visiting the New Orleans area.
With counter seating and retro server uniforms, you’ll feel as though you have been transported into the past. This old-fashioned diner is famous for its chocolate pecan pie, “freezes,” and omelets served all day – and all night, since the diner is open until midnight during the week and 2 a.m. on weekends.
The restaurant was closed after Hurricane Katrina, despite little physical damage, and was reopened in 2007 under new ownership – but not a thing has changed from the good ‘ole days.
