A signature fast food join, Kewpee Hamburgers has three locations throughout Lima, and has been serving up delicious hamburgers, fries and milkshakes for decades.
The downtown location opened under the ownership of Stub Wilson in 1928 as a Kewpee franchise, and has remained unchanged since. Doesn’t everyone want a little nostalgia with their cheeseburger?
Fun fact: on 1982, the building was approved for listing on the National Register of Historic Places, but was marked as Owner Objection, and has never appeared on the registry.
The two other Kewpee locations in Lima are located at 2111 Allentown Road, and 111 North Elizabeth Street.
