The Hollywood Cemetery is rumored to be haunted (it is a cemetery) and has rich folklore tied to the location, like the fact a vampire lives in the mausoleum of W.W Poole. The cemetery was designed in 1847 and is a resting place for “two American Presidents, six Virginia governors, two Supreme Court justices, twenty-two Confederate generals and thousands of Confederate soldiers.”
Aside being a resting place for the well-known, it is also the burial ground for many Richmond locals. The grounds are eerie yet oddly beautiful and peaceful. Take a walking tour or stroll through the 135 acres yourself.
