Garden of the Gods

The Garden of the Gods city part was established in 1909 and now exists as a National Natural Landmark featuring incredible geological formations accessible to visitors interested in biking, rock climbing, wildlife-watching, or just wandering the 20 miles of trails throughout the 1,300 acre park. Millions of visitors from around the world gather at the Garden of the Gods to see the famous red rock formations that tower overhead and explore the natural ecosystem through presentations and events put on by the visitor center, which features topics on the geology, ecology, and history of the area.
