Edgar Allan Poe Museum
The Edgar Allan Poe Museum is located in downtown Richmond just a flew blocks from the poets childhood home. Opened in 1922, the museum pays tribute the dark master of storytelling, poetry, and captivating readers. At the museum you can see collections of original manuscripts, letters, first editions, and memorabilia.
In the backyard you can find a Poe-inspired garden called the “Poe Shrine” based off his poems. The Poe Museum, notably the garden, hosts weddings and a monthly ‘Unhappy Hour.” For the literary lovers, this is a must-see!
