Blue Bell Ice Cream

Blue Bell Creameries has been around since 1907…so you know they have had plenty of time to perfect their recipes! The company began under the name Brenham Creamery Company, and sold butter and ice cream using excess cream from local dairy farmers. In 1919 E. F. Kruse took over the company and made the change to ice cream-only production, and we’re glad he did! He changed the name as well—“Blue Bell”…a native wildflower in Texas. Their success boomed, and by 1989, Blue Bell opened up sales outside of it’s home state, and its become a true Southern favorite. This ice cream powerhouse offers 66 different flavors, as well as hundreds of other frozen treats, including frozen yogurt, sherbet, and pretty much anything else you can freeze on a stick. Do you like Cookies ‘n Cream? Thank Blue Bell Creameries…they were the first company EVER to produce that flavor!
