We, Pennsylvanians, are a pretty diverse group, wouldn’t you say? Visit our fine state and you’ll run into amazing people in the big cities, the small towns, the quaint villages, and everywhere in between. That said, despite our diversity, we do have our fair share of similarities. Like these 10 unwritten rules that just about every Pennsylvanian lives by.

Yep. We’re just about the only state in the entire country that refers to itself by its abbreviation. And, when you think about it, no other state could pull it off like PA.

Which you choose will give away where you live in PA.

Everyone – even the non-sports’ fans – has something to say about the interstate rivalry. Which teams, those in Philly or those in Pittsburgh, have your loyalty?

None of us like it when cars back up for miles (okay, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration) while a driver fiddles around looking for cash and a ticket.

We all know those PA toll rates will keep going up every year for the next few decades so pull out the GPS and find alternate routes.

Yep. The Keystone State could literally be changed to the Pothole State.

The only thing as stressful as slamming into an unseen pothole is having to dodge deer, especially under the cover of darkness.

What makes PA so great? We have our own way of doing things – whether it’s redding up our room, watching wiener dog races, or cheering as an oversized wrench goes skyward on New Year’s Eve.

Unless, of course, they’re from PA. Otherwise, our beautiful state is off limits.
