If you happen to drive along Route 68 in Pennsylvania, you might inadvertently pass by Brady’s Bend, a breathtaking natural wonder in Rimersburg, Pennsylvania. It’s well worth a stop; just make sure you have your camera to snap photos of one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders in Pennsylvania.
Nestled about five miles east of East Brady, Brady’s Bend promises some of the most jaw-dropping views in Pennsylvania. You don’t need much time, either, to stop and admire the stunning views.
When you arrive at the Pennsylvania natural wonder, you’ll see an educational placard that tells the story of Brady’s Bend. It was named in honor of Captain Samuel Brady, a frontier scout.
At the time Brady was in the area in the mid-1700s, it was known as the territory of the Seneca Indians. Several Indians were said to have killed a mother and two of her four children while taking the two other children hostage. Brady is credited with saving the surviving two children.
