As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
We often hear a lot about bucket lists, but how many of us actually have one? It’s a pretty good idea, isn’t it? To create a list of things we really want to do and to make sure we don’t miss out on making those dreams come true. If you don’t have a bucket list, now is a great time to start one. Either way, add this historic hotel in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to it.
If you had ventured past the Cork Factory in Lancaster in the closing years of the 1800s, you probably would have noticed a bustling of activity as workers came and went at Urban Place, which was home to such companies as Lancaster Cork Company.
The 21st century brought even more changes as the building where the Cork Factory is now housed became a mix-used property, featuring a variety of tenants. In 2009, the Cork Factory opened its doors.
Certainly deserving of a spot on any bucket list, this Pennsylvania hotel exudes a cozy charm that wins over guests. The hotel is even a member of the Historic Hotels of America.
The 93-room hotel features all of today’s most popular amenities – complimentary wifi and a fitness center, for example – while still paying homage to its rich past with wood ceilings and original brick in some rooms.
Choose between a standard room, which comes with either a king bed, a queen bed, or two double beds. Or, if you are craving a bit more room, opt for a suite, which has a private bedroom.
The Cork Factory serves as an ideal launching point for exploration as you’ll be just minutes from a slew of attractions, including Dutch Wonderland, Central Market, and Kitchen Kettle Village.
