During the rest of the year, most of the railroads offer regular, scenic trips to allow Pennsylvanians to experience an authentic train ride. You will sit alongside other passengers and one of the biggest celebrities of the era. Keep an eye out, however, because word is Bonnie and Clyde are in the area. The Great Train Robbery, a 45 minute interactive experience, is scheduled for April 29, July 22, and October 21, 2017.

Whose life will tragically come to an end during the Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad's Murder Mystery Dinner Train? The railroad features three different murder mystery themes - Motel Mayhem, Menu Mayhem, and Magic Mayhem - throughout the year. Your experience begins with a buffet dinner at Perry Station at 5 p.m. The train departs the station at 6:15 p.m. and will return at 9 p.m. Can you figure out whodunit?

4. Northern Central Railway – Steam Into History
Enjoy a front row seat to history when you purchase a ticket on the Northern Central Railway's Steam Into History. Climb aboard the replica 1860s train just like the one President Lincoln rode on his journey to give the Gettysburg Address. A Civil War expert will bring the war alive during the 2.5 hour train trip from New Freedom to Hanover Junction and back. Steam Into History also hosts Mystery Dinner trains throughout the year.

Will you be the one to solve the murder of whodunit aboard Middletown & Hummelstown's Murder Mystery Dinner Train? You've got some incentive - tickets for another train ride - to solve the mystery first. The three-hour train ride, held throughout the year, features a hot dinner and the murder mystery.

6. Colebrookdale Railroad – Eerie Limited
Start counting down the days until June because you're in for a spooky good time aboard Colebrookdale Railroad's Eerie Limited. For two hours, you'll wonder if the wind whipping outside is merely the wind or something more as you listen to the haunted tales of The Secret Valley. The two-hour Eerie Limited leaves promptly at 6:30 p.m. the second Friday of the month from June through December.
