Hop Aboard The Santa Express In Pennsylvania To Feel The Magic Of The Season
Santa Claus is coming to town, but before he drops down chimneys all over the world on Christmas Eve, he’s making a detour in West Chester. The man of the season, in fact, will join families on the magical Santa Express in Pennsylvania for a scenic train ride that promises to be one of the highlights of the season. However, if you want to climb aboard, you’ll have to get your tickets soon, because they tend to sell out fast.
The Santa Express pulls out of the Market Street Station, in West Chester, with Santa onboard, on weekends in November and December.
Climb aboard the heated train for a leisurely 75-minute meander along the railroad tracks that will take you to Glen Mills and back to Market Street Station.
Make sure the kiddos bring along their Christmas lists for Santa, who will make time for a visit with each passenger during the journey. Live entertainment will also be featured.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Santa Express will feature a few changes for the 2020 season, including running at only 50 percent occupancy to allow for social distancing. All riders three years and older must wear a mask.
West Chester Railroad will also host its special Christmas Tree Train on November 28 and 29 and December 6 and 13, 2020. Trains depart at 8 a.m. for the journey to and from Wiggins Tree Farm, where you can cut your own tree.
