Snuggled on the corner of Centre Square in Easton, The Carmelcorn Shop has been a neighborhood favorite for popcorn, candy, and nuts since 1931.
Founded by Ruth and John Doherty, The Carmelcorn Shop has changed ownership several times over the last few years with its current owners, Tony and Sia Bassil, recently putting the shop on the market.
Chocolate covered strawberries, pretzels, raisin clusters, orange peels, cherries, and marshmallows. An array of diabetic chocolates is also available.
Stock up on your favorite candies, including such old fashioned favorites as flying saucers, marshmallow cones, and rock candy. (The Caramelcorn Shop also features plenty of diabetic-friendly candy options.)
Soon, however, the torch will be passed to a new generation. The shop is for sale, although Sia Bassil will only sell to the right person to ensure the Caramelcorn Shop continues to delight customers far into the future.
