Glide across Raccoon Lake on ice skates on those cold winter days. The state, however, does not keep track of the thickness of the ice. Be sure that it is sturdy enough to hold your weight and the weight of those with you.
Embark on the Pinto Trail, a 1.1-mile trail that's popular with both hikers and cross-country skiers. Rated as easy, the trail will lead you through picturesque meadows and forest areas.
Keep an eye out for the local wildlife that call Raccoon Creek State Park home. Deer, raccoon, fox, opossums, and skunk all live within the natural wonder.
Snowmobiling's another popular activity when conditions allow. If you're up for an afternoon of snowmobiling, you'll only be able to use four miles of Pioneer Camp Road and Nichols Road.
