2. Glades Pike Winery
Let's head to Glades Pike Winery in Somerset next, before we hit our first state park of the day. Glades Pike Winery offers tours, but you'll have to contact them in advance to schedule a time. When you arrive, your very own "pour" guide will show you around. After your tour, stop by the shop and stock up on your favorite wines.
3. Laurel Hill State Park
Now that we've stopped at two wineries, let's make our way to Laurel Hill State Park, also in Somerset. Stroll around Laurel Hill Lake that's flanked by colorful trees, or set off on a picturesque hike. The sprawling state park has 15 miles of hiking trails and is a perfect spot for wildlife watching. If you didn't picnic at Stone Villa Wine Cellars, you'll find plenty of picnic tables at Laurel Hill State Park.
4. Ohiopyle State Park
A road trip through the Laurel Highlands, especially during the fall, certainly wouldn't be complete without a stop at Ohiopyle State Park. If you're not in the mood for hiking, simply walk the few steps to Cucumber Falls and to Ohiopyle Falls, both surrounded by fall foliage. The massive state park has nearly 80 miles of trails for hiking and biking.
5. Bella Terra Vineyards
Our final stop of the day brings us to Bella Terra Vineyards. a boutique winery in Hunker. Pull up a chair for a bit of free wine tasting. You can choose five different wines to sample. Sit back, relax, and discover your favorites. Afterward, purchase your favorite selections to take home with you.
