The Nautical-Themed Restaurant In Pittsburgh Where Dining Is A Blast
Longing for those endless summer days at the shore? Maybe it’s the smell of the salty ocean air? The feel of the sand beneath your feet? Or, perhaps the longing stems from the delicious food – the oysters, for example – that makes those breezy days pure magic? Feel as though you’ve traveled to the shore when you dine at this nautical-themed restaurant in Pittsburgh.
Merchant Oyster Co. in Lawrenceville first debuted in October 2017, promising Pittsburghers a unique
and casual dining experience.
Step through the front door and feel as though you've arrived along the coast, due to the cuisine
and the charming decor.
Sink into a beach chair at the bar. Grab a chair at one of the cozy tables. Or, rock back and forth on a comfy rocking chair.
Of course, if you're really up for a unique experience, shimmy up to the oyster bar (pictured below).
What's a trip to the coast without a tall, exotic drink to kick things off? Merchant Oyster Co.'s drink menu features a variety of wine, beer, and specialty drinks like the Bloody Mary (pictured below).
So, what'll your main meal be? This "Northeastern Style Oyster Bar and Chowder House" features an assortment of options, such as crab cake, soft shell clams, and Rhode Island red chowder.
Or, try a scrumptious sandwich. The New Jersey burger, the lobster roll, and the crab grilled cheese are among your choices.
And, top off your meal with a delectable dessert. Dig into a whoopie pie, blueberry pie, or New England apple cake.
Merchant Oyster Co. is open Monday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
