You’ll only find one named waterfall in Pittsburgh, which means traveling outside of Allegheny County to see some of the most majestic waterfalls near Pittsburgh. In fact, you have quite a few waterfall hikes near Pittsburgh from which to choose. For an epic adventure, head to Ohiopyle State Park. There, you’ll find the Meadow Run Trail. It leads to two waterfalls – Cucumber Falls and Ohiopyle Falls (both require just a short walk) – AND to a natural waterslide. Slip down the waterslide to stay cool during the summer. If you’re up for a challenge, follow the Slippery Rock Gorge Trail. It’s long at 14 miles and can be a bit treacherous.
