Drink Your Way Through Pittsburgh On The Margarita Marathon
When’s the last time you kicked back, relaxed, and just enjoyed a day to yourself? We have an abundance of ways – from recharging at salt caves to heading off on a day trip – to relax here in the Burgh. If you’re a fan of the margarita, however, you’ll probably want to carve out time to make your way along the margarita marathon in Pittsburgh.

Our journey along the Margarita Marathon in Pittsburgh will take us just under six miles, which makes it easy for walking, hopping on the T, or driving. If you opt to drive, however, don't forget to have a designated driver, so everyone arrives home safe.
Let's get the fun started at tako, where you can sit indoors or outdoors during the warmer months in the Burgh. tako serves nine different margaritas. If you prefer the traditional, order the classic margarita. However, if you want to mix things up, try the strawberry lemonade, the spicy pineapple, or the coconut.
2. Las Velas
Enjoy a leisurely stroll from tako to Las Velas, tucked in Market Square. The vibrant Mexican restaurant boasts eight tasty margaritas on its drinks menu. You can, of course, order the classic, or you can try something a little different - the raspberry chipotle, the strawberry cucumber, or the mango cayenne.
3. Tres Rios
We're off to the South Side for our next stop. Tres Rios Mexican Kitchen pours six different margaritas, so you're sure to find one you like. Try such unique flavors as the elderflower rosemary, the spicy passion fruit, or the winter pear. You can, of course, also opt for the traditional margarita.
Pull up a chair at Emiliano's Mexican Restaurant & Bar, where you'll have a tough decision to make. Emiliano's drinks menu features 11 margaritas, including the fruit punch, the strawberry, and the mango margaritas. If you really want to spice things up, sip on a jalapeno mango margarita.
5. La Palapa
How about mixing things up at La Palapa, our next stop? There, you'll have nine margaritas from which to choose, including the frozen margarita. Frozen margaritas come in peach fruit, natural mango, and strawberry. Salt on the rim of your margarita is optional.
6. Condado Tacos
We've reached our final stop on this delicious journey. Condado Tacos features 10 scrumptious margaritas on its menu - both the signature and the specialty margaritas. If you're in the mood to taste a few of the flavors on the menu, order the Mini Margarita Flight. You'll be able to try three different mini drinks. Popular flavors include the pineapple express and the skinny skeleton.
