The Winter Walk In Pittsburgh That Will Positively Enchant You
Santa’s laugh replaces the screams of summer. Hot chocolate wins over ice cold pop. And, holiday music fills the air as Kennywood becomes a winter wonderland of fun. Embark on this enchanting winter walk at Kennywood during the annual Holiday Lights celebration.
Kennywood Park transforms into a winter wonderland of twinkling holiday lights, visits with Santa, and live entertainment during Holiday Lights.
Stop by the Lagoon at 5:45 p.m. each evening for the lighting of the 90 foot Christmas tree, Pittsburgh's largest.
The annual Holiday Lights promises plenty of opportunities for photos. Get your picture taken with Santa in his sleigh and with Kenny, everyone's favorite kangaroo.
Admire the lights as you explore the winter wonderland. The Kennywood Holiday Lights Show at the Lagoon kicks off every half an hour beginning at 6 p.m. The last show starts at 8:30 p.m.
Warm up with a viewing of the 15-minute 4-D showing of The Polar Express. Snow will fall in the theater as your seats vibrate, making you feel as though you're on a real train.
Kids can write letters to Santa at the Penny Arcade. And, a guest celebrity will read The Night Before Christmas each evening at 7:30 p.m. at Kennyville Stage.
Climb aboard one of the limited rides - like the Merry-Go-Round, the Kangaroo, and Noah's Ark - that generally opens for Holiday Lights. As many as 10 Kiddieland rides will also open weather-permitting.
Keep warm with a delectable meal or treats from one of the food stands. The Pagoda, Midway, Parkside Cafe, and Pizza Warehouse are among the eateries slated to open during Holiday Lights.
Admission for 2017 and 2018 season ticket holders is free on certain nights during Holiday Lights. Online tickets cost $15.99. Or, buy your tickets at the gate for $18.99
