Are you up for the scare of the season?
Slip on your comfiest hiking shoes — flip flops and dress shoes just won't cut it — for your journey into the darkness at Scary Harry's in Homer City.
The family-owned and run haunted trail has been terrifying visitors since 2010 and that's its goal: to scare you silly.
During the approximately 30 minute spine-tingling experience, you'll explore three haunted buildings
and and the haunted walking trail, with its uneven ground, that leads into the woods.
Be prepared to be cloaked in darkness. Thinking of bringing a flashlight? Think again. Flashlights are not permitted. In fact...
...a wallet that slips in your pocket, a mobile phone that stays in your pocket (and, yes, you will be kicked out if you take the phone out of your pocket), and your car keys are all you're allowed. Other than that, you're on your own.
Scary Harry's recommends its haunted attraction for those 13 and older. Children under 18, however,
must be at least 48 inches tall and accompanied by a parent or a guardian. If you...
...suffer from heart problems, cannot walk without assistance or for long distances, are pregnant, have a broken bone, or have children you must hold, you will not be permitted into Scary Harry's.
At no time during the attraction will a staff member put his/her hands on you, a fact Scary Harry emphasizes on its website.
Scary Harry's offers free parking and an admission fee of $15
cash only per person.
Scary Harry's debuts for the season on October 7, welcoming guests on Friday and Saturday nights, October 13-27, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. The haunted trail will be open on Sunday, October 22 and 29, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Pitch Black, a special event for visitors 18 and older, is set for November 3 and 4.
