Get ready for a bit of a bumpy but beautiful ride. My daughter and I visited on a late fall day when it was really chilly. Dress for the weather; the pumpkin patch is on a hill, and the ground around it can get really wet and muddy. Old shoes or shoes you don't mind getting muddy are a good idea. We had to dodge the muddy spots, and some parts were just too wet and muddy to walk near.

If you don't feel like going on the hayride, you can buy pre-picked pumpkins, too. Pumpkins are usually available in every size imaginable.

A vendor selling hot and cold drinks set up shop at the picnic pavilion near the corn maze. The hot chocolate was just what we needed to help us navigate the corn maze and to explore the farm, visit the animals, and snap photos with the fall decorations.

When we were ready to leave, we just stood in line for the hayride back. If you go on a busy day, be prepared to wait for your return ride. There's no limit to how much time you can spend atop the hill, where you'll also find family-friendly games.
While you're waiting for your tractor, relax near the roaring firepit.

It gets pretty cold up on that hill, and the firepit kept us lovely and warm.
Before you leave the farm, pick up some to-go café items, including cider slushies, candy apples, and caramel apples.
