Start this epic autumn adventure in Ohiopyle State Park, which promises jaw dropping fall scenery just about everywhere you look. You can explore the many trails that permit hiking and biking throughout the park. Stop by Ohiopyle Falls (pictured above) and Cucumber Falls, just a mile away, for even more stunning views.

Next stop: Fallingwater, the masterpiece designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Fallingwater welcomes visitors to tour the famous home (advanced reservations are necessary) and to explore the grounds. A grounds pass is required to hike the land around Fallingwater. Call ahead to ensure there are still grounds passes available on the day you want to go.

Stroll through picturesque Twin Lakes Park as it bursts with the rustic colors of fall. The park offers an idyllic setting for admiring the changing leaves, picnicking, hiking, biking, and fishing. Rent a canoe, a rowboat, or a pedal boat for a truly unique view of the fall scenery from the lake. (Boat rentals, available through October, are by the hour.)

Plan a picnic to pump you up for your fall foliage viewing adventure at our next stop. Keystone State Park spans over 1,200 acres with eight miles of hiking trails. The shortest trail at .03 miles, the Pine Trail Loop promises easy hiking along mountain pine trees, oak trees, and rolling farmland.

Breathe in the fresh autumn air as you admire the burst of colors along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. The winding trail totals 24 miles, although it is broken into five smaller sections. Hike just one section or the entire trail, passing such spellbinding beauty as Panther Hollow, PNC Park and Heinz Field, the confluence of the Three Rivers, and colorful trees.

End your autumn adventure at Frick Park. Stroll along the hiking trails (dogs are welcome!) as the leaves crunch beneath your feet. Frick Park also offers plenty to do, including a playground for the kids, tennis courts, lawn bowling, a baseball field, and benches to relax.
