Emerald View Trail spans just over two miles, but it packs a lot of natural beauty and sensational city views in that rather short distance.

Considered between easy and moderate depending on your hiking skills, the picturesque trail does have some challenging terrain, including the famous Pittsburgh hills with which we are all familiar.

You'll trek through a forested area, which means you might come face to face with a variety of local wildlife, including deer.

Along the way, you'll pass through several neighborhoods, including Duquesne Heights, Allentown, and Mount Washington.

The highlight of the trail is undoubtedly the views of downtown Pittsburgh once you reach Mount Washington.
