The Big Butler Fair Is Returning To Pittsburgh This Summer, And It Will Be Better Than Ever

Summer’s right around the corner, and our schedules probably look a whole lot different than they did last year. So many treasured traditions were canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, but they’re slowly making their return this summer. Set aside plenty of time during the Fourth of July holiday, for example, for a trip to The Big Butler Fair near Pittsburgh.

A full menu of fun awaits at the popular fair, where everyone in the family is sure to find something to love. Stop by the carnival, for example, to ride such classics as the Ferris wheel, the swings, and the merry-go-round.

Show off your skills - and win a prize - at one of the many games of skill and of chance at the carnival.

A carnival certainly wouldn't be complete without old-fashioned fair food, including funnel cakes and ice cream. You might even want to grab a quick meal before digging into the goodies.

Animals lovers can meet a variety of furry ones at the petting zoo, check out the alpaca show, and stop by the Butler Fair Horse Show.

The week's festivities also include truck pulls, a butterfly exhibit, and a kids caravan parade. Here's the full schedule of activities.

Don't forget to snag tickets for some of the concerts set to take place, and make sure you're on the fairgrounds at dusk on the Fourth of July for a spectacular fireworks show.
