The Quirky Restaurant That Every Pittsburgher Should Visit Once
Pittsburgh has certainly become a haven for bicyclists. Bike lanes have been painted downtown. The city boasts an assortment of picturesque bike trails. We can marvel at the history of the bicycle – and pick up everything we need for our bikes – at Bicycle Heaven. And, of course, we can indulge in a delicious meal at this quirky restaurant on the South Side while parking our bikes out front.
Over the Bar (OBC) Bicycle Cafe, sat along Carson Street in the South Side, beckons bicycle enthusiasts with its bicycle-themed decor
and those looking for a delicious meal.
Park your bike outside before entering the quirky restaurant adorned with bicycles hanging from the ceiling.
Start your meal off with a draft beer or a specialty cocktail. Popular cocktails include Sangria, Overcast, and Tour de 75. (Cocktails change according to the season.) Even better? All cocktails are homemade and use local ingredients.
Browse the bicycle-themed menu that appeals to carnivores and vegetarians. Look for the V next to the dishes that are vegetarian.
Carnivores have a vast selection of options, including burgers, chicken tenders, and the BLT. For something a little different, try the PBR Sandwich - the pickle Ranch sandwich.
Vegetarians might want to try the Rock Garden Salad, veggie burger, grilled spinach wrap, or hummus.
Kids have such scrumptious choices as the strider (cheeseburger), the tandem (grilled cheese), and the tricycle (chicken fingers).
The quirky bicycle cafe has locations on the South Side and at the North Park Boathouse in Allison Park.
OTB Bicycle Cafe on the South Side is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
