7 Delightfully Delicious Snacks That Are Uniquely Pittsburgh
Let’s talk food today, fellow Pittsburghers! We know a thing or two about
good food, don’t we? And, that includes snacks. Who among us doesn’t crave something sugary-sweet, salty, or chocolaty halfway through the day, before bed at night, or even in the middle of the night? That’s when we turn to one of our favorite uniquely Pittsburgh snacks to satisfy our hunger and help us make it through the day/night.
1. Potato Patch Fries
Summer just wouldn't be summer without a hearty helping of Potato Patch fries at Kennywood. They make the
perfect snack or even meal. How do you like yours best - topped with bacon and cheese or drenched in cheese?
2. Burnt Almond Torte
Mmm...mmm...craving something delightfully delicious and sweet to help you make it until dinner? Then, make a beeline for Prantl's Bakery, the home of the famous burnt almond torte. Treat yourself to a one-person portion or buy an entire cake. After all, you have to have a snack tomorrow, too, right?
3. Smiley Cookies
Pour yourself a cold glass of milk or pop - or your favorite drink - and pair it with one of Eat 'N Park's smiley cookies for the perfect snack. And, of course, the smiley cookie always makes a delicious end to an Eat 'N Park meal.
4. Sarris Candies
Chocolate lovers will all probably agree that nothing makes
the perfect Pittsburgh snack than, well, chocolate. And, one of the best places in the Burgh to get chocolate is Sarris Candies. With its chocolate covered pretzels, peanut butter meltaways, chocolate bars and more, Sarris makes choosing a snack deliciously difficult.

7. Turner’s Tea
Of course, our uniquely Pittsburgh snacks need something to go with them. Can you think of anything better - or more uniquely Pittsburgh - than Turner's Iced Tea? And, if you don't like iced tea, Turner's has plenty of other delicious drinks - chocolate milk, orange juice, and fruit punch, for example.
