Travel Back In Time When You Visit Speakeasy, A 1920s Themed Speakeasy In Pittsburgh
Twenty-first century Pittsburgh promises plenty of places to kick back and relax with an alcoholic drink – from sophisticated lounges to casual bars. But, turn back the clock to nearly a century ago, and Pittsburghers couldn’t enjoy a drink whenever they wanted. Prohibition, in fact, made it illegal for anyone in the United States to manufacture or to sell alcohol between 1920 and 1933. Still, underground spots, like this hidden speakeasy in Pittsburgh, popped up for those who didn’t mind snubbing the law.
