This One Of A Kind Maple Festival Is So Perfectly Pennsylvania
Maple season is officially here. Perhaps the sweetest season of all, maple season kicks off on the last Saturday of February each year. Some might say the highlight of the maple season, besides all of that fresh maple syrup, is the Pennsylvania Maple Festival. Mark your calendars because this year’s Pennsylvania festival boasts a jam-packed calendar of activities, events, and delicious food.
Pack your bags and head to Maple City for a weekend of fun at the 71st Annual Pennsylvania Maple Festival. (Maple City is more commonly known as Meyersdale.)
The seven day event, held at Festival Park, features a full menu of activities. Enjoy live entertainment, delicious food, and living history.
Stop by the Sugar Shack, for example, to watch maple syrup making demonstrations. Of course, that might lead to a maple craving. Try a fresh spotza, a treat made with maple syrup.
The PA Maple Festival also features the Country Store, Dr. Glass's Country Doctor's Office, and a host of vendors.
Kids Corner beckons children with its face painting and crafts.
Uncover the history of Meyersdale throughout the weekend. Festival Park features living history actors. Guests are also encouraged to visit the Historic Meyers Homestead.
The Beer and Wine Garden welcomes guests 21 and over to join a beer and wine tasting. Entrance to the Beer and Wine Garden is $5.
Take a break from all the activities with a hearty meal or a snack from one of the food vendors. Then, head over to the stage to watch the entertainment.
Admission to the festival is $5 for adults and $1 for students and children between 5 and 12.
The PA Maple Festival is set for March 17-18 and 21-25, 2018. Hours vary depending on the day.
