The Decaying Remains Of The Unity House Resort In The Poconos Will Take You Back To An Earlier Time

The Poconos have always had a reputation for being a prime getaway within Pennsylvania. Nestled in the mountains, adventurers can ski or snowboard, lovers can be alone, or a busy family can catch up on some much-needed bonding time. The Unity House Resort began its life in 1892 and has sat vacant near Bushkill since 1989.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now:

Thanks to photographer SHVWN Cooper for the amazing inside look at the Unity House. Be sure to check out her website or Facebook page.
