There’s something especially satisfying about picking your own fruit from the tree, vine, or stem. Maybe it’s the reassurance that it did, indeed come from the ground and not an alien spaceship, or maybe it’s the rustic joy of procuring your own sustenance, just like your forefathers and their forefathers before them. Here are some of the best places in Pennsylvania where you can pluck your own snacks straight from the tree.
1. Brecknock Orchard, Mohnton
This orchard specializes in a variety of fruits, berries, and vegetables. Many of their products you can pick yourself!
2. Frecon Farms, Boyertown
You can pick all sorts of things at Frecon Farms, including pumpkins, pears, and apples. The farm was also recently included on Philadelphia's Friday Arts Program.
3. Yellow Hill Farm, Biglerville
You can pick almost any berry you can imagine at Yellow Hill Farm, including blueberries, red & gold raspberries, and blackberries... And you can cut your own flowers.
4. Half Crown Hill Orchard, McDonald
This family-owned orchard is located near Pittsburgh. It's an ideal destination for all of your produce picking wants and desires.

Triple B Farms not only has a wide variety of fruits to pick-- apples, blackberries, peaches, pumpkins, and more, but they also have these radical slides. Wheeeeeee.
6. Strawberry Acres, Coplay
You can pick your own fruit at Strawberry Acres, or purchase the pre-picked fruit that they have for sale at the farm.
7. Perry Acres, Hamburg
Perry Acres is one of the few farms in the state where you can pick nectarines.
8. Soergel Orchards, Wexford
Soergel Orchards dates all the way back to the 1850s! Pick your own produce, then browse their beautiful country store and indulge in freshly baked pie.
9. Weaver's Orchard, Morgantown
You simply won't have time to pick all of the fruits you want to at Weaver's Orchard... They have a massive selection to choose from, including apples, apricots, blackberries, blueberries, cherries, nectarines, pears, peaches, pumpkins, and raspberries.
