What This Drone Footage Caught In Pennsylvania Will Drop Your Jaw

Centralia, Pennsylvania is one of the strangest and creepiest places in the entire country. Home to a mine fire that’s been burning for more than 50 years, Centralia is devoid of any occupants, save a handful of loyal residents who refused to move — even when the government declared eminent domain over the land and required everyone to move out.

Check out this incredible footage that photographer Sean Swatsky captured of Centralia from a drone in July of 2015. Future…meet the remains of our past that still burn beneath our streets. The ghost town is a constant reminder of Pennsylvania’s rich industrial history — and its dangerous nature.
