1. New Year's Eve Pickle Drop – Dillsburg

The pickle drop is, by far, the highlight of an evening that also features ice sculpting, a baby pickle drop, a blood drive, plenty of pickle-themed foods, and live entertainment. The New Year's Eve Pickle Drop is slated for December 31, 2016 at Dillsburg Square from 4:30 p.m. to midnight.
2. New Year's Eve Wrench Drop – Mechanicsburg
Bid farewell to 2016 at Mechanicsburg's Annual Wrench Drop, slated for December 31 from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The evening will consist of a variety of activities, including live entertainment, a kids celebration, and a silent auction. The wrench will drop at midnight at 53 East Main Street.
3. First Night Carlisle - Carlisle
Enjoy an evening of live entertainment, delicious food, kids' activities, and the countdown to 2017. First Night Carlisle kicks off at 5 p.m. on New Year's Eve at 15 ventures throughout the downtown area and caps off, beginning at 11:45 p.m., with the countdown to the new year.
4. Hershey New Year's Eve – Hershey
The Square in Hershey leaps alive from 9 p.m. to midnight on New Year's Eve. Watch live entertainment or dine at one of the local restaurants as you await midnight, when a giant Hershey's Kiss drops to ring in 2017.
5. New Year's Eve Bologna Drop – Lebanon
Love bologna? Then there's no better place to be on December 31 than the annual Bologna Drop in Lebanon. The festivities kick off at 10 p.m., with live entertainment, at the Lebanon parking lot on Ninth Street and Cumberland Street.
6. Midnight in the Square – Kennett Square
Kennett Square's New Year's Eve festivities kick off at 6 p.m., including a special kids' celebration, a laser show, and live entertainment. At midnight, the lighted mushroom drops to ring in 2017. The admission fee is a non-perishable food item.
7. New Year's Eve Celebration – Gettysburg
Lincoln Square is the place to be on New Year's Eve 2016. Activities, which also take place at the Majestic Theater and Christ Lutheran Church, kick off at 7:30 p.m. and include live entertainment, balloon art, a community sing-a-long, and fireworks.
8. First Night – Pittsburgh
Downtown Pittsburgh comes alive on New Year's Eve with First Night Pittsburgh, an evening long celebration of the new year. The festivities start at 6 p.m. at the numerous venues and outdoors at the Cultural District and include face painting, live entertainment, ice creations, and a parade, all leading up to the rising of the ball at midnight.
9. New Year's Eve Celebration – Lancaster City
Lancaster's New Year's Eve Celebration launches at 10 p.m. at Binns Park. Revelers will enjoy a free concert by Andy Mowatt's Steely Jam while fireworks will usher in the new year.
10. Countdown to 2017 – York
York's New Year's Eve Celebration is a family affair with festivities slated to begin at 6 p.m. Activities will take place at Central Market and Continental Square and include face painting, a dance party, and a countdown to the white rose drop at midnight.
