Three cheers for PA! How lucky are we to live in such an amazing, unique state? PA’s bursting with spectacular natural beauty, so much to see and to do, and rich traditions. But, that’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. We all know what an amazing place PA is, but others might not. Here are 10 ways Pennsylvania has become the most unique state in the nation. That’s right. You never hear Californians or Nebraskans saying, "Back in CA or NE…" But, we Pennsylvanians? It’s PA all the way. In fact, you can probably tell a native Pennsylvanian from a visitor by the way he/she refers to our beloved state.
Yep, we’re all about snacks in PA. That’s why we’ve earned the title of the Snack Food Capital of the U.S. PA’s home to Hershey, Utz, Peeps, Herr’s and…the list goes on and on.

We’ve got snacks whenever we want them just because we live in PA. And, one charming town – Kennett Square – holds the title of the Mushroom Capital of the World. Kennett Square offers plenty of opportunities to sample mushrooms. But, for a truly unique experience, visit on New Year’s Eve for the dropping of the mushroom.

Speaking of New Year’s Eve and falling mushrooms, PA drops some pretty amazing things on New Year’s Eve. Hershey’s drops a Hershey’s Kiss. Mechanicsburg welcomes the New Year with a wrench. And, Dillsburg says bonjour with a pickle.
PA’s become a foodie state because of its spectacularly unique food. Indulge in a hearty meal of such PA favorites as scrapple, a chipped ham sandwich, a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, or shoofly pie.
