River tubing in Pennsylvania

June 11, 2021

Where are the best lazy rivers in Pennsylvania?

If you’re into river tubing, there are an abundance of options here in Pennsylvania. Our state is home to an abundance of so-called lazy rivers, all of which are perfect for soaking up fun in the sun… all while relaxing and staying cool! Meander down the Kiski River in Western Pennsylvania on a tube with The River’s Edge Kayak & Canoe. Whether you’re in the mood for a short trip down the river or a daylong adventure, you’ll find it at this Pennsylvania gem. If you want to go tubing again and again, definitely check out Bucks County River Country, where you can purchase a summer tubing pass. Either way, you’re in for a fun adventure on the river. Float down the Delaware River on a two-hour or a three-hour adventure. You can also choose the type of tube – standard, standard double, and deluxe, for example. What are some fun summer adventures I can have in Pennsylvania?

In addition to river tubing, there are tons of fun summer adventures one can have in Pennsylvania. Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown is a must-visit; Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom are actually two separate amusement parks located adjacent to one another in Allentown. You can buy joint passes to get into both parks and enjoy the endless water rides they have to offer! Shankweiler’s Drive-In Theatre in Orefield is good, old-fashioned fun, and a total must for anyone looking for a nostalgic little blast from the past. Camping is also another favorite pastime here in PA, and Cherry Springs State Park in Coudersport is one of the most beautiful sites in the state.

Does Pennsylvania have any swimming holes?

If you can’t get enough of Pennsylvania’s water recreation, you’ll definitely want to check out one of the state’s many swimming holes. Some of our favorites include Meadow Run Natural Waterslide in Ohiopyle State Park; Perkiomen Creek in Philadelphia; Presque Isle State Park, which offers access to the beautiful Lake Erie; and Salt Springs State Park in Montrose.
