You Don’t Want To Miss This Gorgeous Lantern Festival In Pennsylvania This Year
Turn your gaze toward the nighttime sky as you release a glowing lantern, carrying your secret wishes and dreams for the future, high into the air. Join thousands of other Pennsylvanians as you celebrate the promise for tomorrow at this gorgeous lantern festival in Pennsylvania.
Plan your trip to the Poconos Raceway for the breathtakingly beautiful Lantern Fest, slated to light up the nighttime sky on September 9, 2017.
Celebrate your hopes and dreams for the future when you send your own lantern - a symbol of good fortune - soaring into the sky after the September sun sets.
Spend the afternoon leading up to the main event listening to and dancing to live music. Roast marshmallows over a roaring fire, perfect for making one of summer's favorite treats: S'mores.
Enjoy a scrumptious snack or a meal from one of the food trucks at the festival (outside food and drink is prohibited) as you chat with fellow festivalgoers and wait for the sun to begin its descent into night.
Decorate your lantern, which is included in your ticket price, adding your own inspirational thoughts or drawings that illustrate your wishes for the future.
Children between the ages of four and 12 will receive a gift with their ticket but will not get a lantern. However, additional lanterns will be available to purchase at the festival.
Please note: Children will need assistance from an adult to launch lanterns.
Plan your visit to this epic lantern festival, which assures participants that all of the lanterns are "100 percent biodegradable" and that a clean-up crew will collect "90 percent" of the lanterns that were released at the event.
