Embrace a tiny bit of paradise when you rent Hermit Island, a cozy three-acre island in Waymart that hugs Keen Lake and provides an idyllic backdrop for a tranquil getaway.
Part of the Keen Lake Cottage and Camping Resort, Hermit Island offers sweeping lake views and cozy accommodation for up to seven guests. You can reach your island paradise by boat or by kayak.
The two-story cottage boasts three bedrooms, each with a window that allows the natural light to flow in. You’ll also be treated to sensational views of the island, which is largely a wooded area.
On those chilly Pocono Mountain evenings, curl up in front of the roaring fireplace in the living area that also features a flat-screen TV and two sofas.
Have a furry four-legged family member or two? They can come along, too, for an additional fee and as long as they’re up to date on all of their shots.
Start planning your getaway to Hermit Island early as it’s only open seasonally, from April through early October. During the peak season, you must rent the island by the week.
