The Deserted Hospital In Pennsylvania That’s Eerily Post-Apocalyptic

The Monsour Medical Center and Jeannette District Memorial Hospital in Jeanette, Pennsylvania was once an important center of medicine. After its abandonment, conditions in the center quickly began to go from sterile to totally creepy. These haunting pictures by photographer Johnny Joo show just how eerie the complex became after the last doctors left.

(Editor’s note: a previous version of this story indicated that the structure is still partially standing. It was actually demolished in early 2016. The verbiage below has been updated to reflect this. We apologize for any confusion.)
